Little Buzzing Meadow

Do you know why pollinators are so important to us? When we have plenty of good pollinators in nature, we get bigger harvests and, for example, much larger fruits! We humans can support the well-being of pollinators in many ways, such as allowing willows and dandelions to bloom in nature or by creating our own flower meadow.

For the summer season of 2025, a pollinator-friendly meadow will be established in Moominworld, located right next to Hemulen’s house.

The location is perfect because Hemulen, known from the Moomin books and animations, is a great friend and collector of plants and insects, always dressed in a purple dress.

He lovingly tends to all his plants and gets very excited when he discovers entirely new and unusual insect or plant species in his garden.

The meadow will feature the most beautiful and colorful blooming plants, which are essential for pollinators.

We hope for cheerful buzzing and humming around Hemulen’s house when the first day of summer arrives again after a long winter!
