Moomin­mamma’s Doughnut House

Years ago, around the time the Moominworld was founded, a special doughnut recipe was created for Moominworld. The delicious doughnuts made to this recipe were called Mamma’s doughnuts, because of the famous cooking skills of Moominmamma. From the very beginning, Mamma’s doughnuts were self-made and served to customers freshly cooked. Later on, Moominworld’s menus were changed, and even though there used to be a café called Mamma’s Doughnut House, the doughnuts made to the secret recipe were forgotten. During the years even the original recipe was lost.

 Luckily, the original recipe was found in spring 2012, and because people had really been missing the doughnuts over the years, we decided to bring them back. The traditional Mamma’s doughnuts now served have been made to the secret recipe, which is safely locked away in Moominpappa’s safe.

 Mamma’s doughnuts are still made on site by Moominworld’s doughnut bakers and served freshly cooked. Enjoy the delicious treats!

Moominmamma’s Doughnut House serves tasty fresh doughnuts as well as coffee, tea, and soft drinks. There’s plenty of room on the terrace to enjoy a delicious doughnut with some coffee.
